Why “Healing” Isn’t Working and What We Actually Need Instead
“Healing” isn’t enough. Discover why re-humaning, not healing, is the path back to rhythm, truth, and living fully alive.

It’s not healing we’re after. It’s human 101 we need.
The Problem With “Healing”
Let’s be honest. Healing, as it’s marketed today, hasn’t worked.
Most of us aren’t “broken.” We don’t have bones to set or wounds that need bandages. We’ve just been lied to about what it means to be whole.
What’s labeled “healing” has become spiritual theater. Too vague to be helpful. Too aesthetic to be real. Too disconnected to reach people where they are.
For billions living within religious constructs, economic pressures, and colonized systems, healing often sounds foreign at best, or like a threat at worst.
Humaning 101: What We Were Never Taught
Here’s what we should have learned instead:
To be human is not to be healed. To be human is to be alive in the full experience, to meet life’s duality: joy and grief, love and loss, expansion and contraction.
As Jon Kabat-Zinn teaches: life is waves. You don’t stop them. You learn to surf.
From Tantric wisdom: life breathes. It opens and closes. We expand. We contract.
This isn’t failure. It’s rhythm.
We were supposed to feel it all, energetically, physically, emotionally, spiritually. But that wisdom was stripped from us.
It was replaced with moral codes, religious dogma, economic dependency, and colonial systems that taught us to distrust the body, the earth, and our inner knowing.
Why We’re Here (And Why “Healing” Isn’t Enough)
We are caught in a loop.
- An economic system that thrives when we feel broken.
- A spiritual void filled with band-aids.
- A global culture trained not to think critically.
- A commodified “healing” industry that sells soft answers instead of asking hard questions.
But here’s the truth:
You don’t need to “heal.” You need to process, shed, re-integrate, and remember. You need to learn how to be with what life brings, not bypass it, not perform it, not monetize it.
You need to move energy before it roots into your nervous system and becomes your identity. You need to extract the lesson from the fire and carry the ember forward, not the smoke.
So… How Do We Become Whole Humans Again?
It’s not through more healing. It’s through re-humaning.
1. Face What You Feel
Stop labeling everything trauma or anxiety. Get real with what’s arising. Let yourself move it through your body. Let yourself not be okay, and not rush to fix it.
2. Stop Outsourcing Your Power
You don’t need another guru, code, doctrine, or overpriced 6-week program. You need stillness, discernment, and honest reflection.
3. Unlearn the Colonized Mind
Deconstruct the systems that taught you to separate your body from your spirit, your emotions from your logic, and your self-worth from your productivity.
4. Live the Whole Ride
Honor grief. Savor joy. Sit with discomfort. Be with life instead of trying to fix it.
5. Reconnect with the Earth and the Body
Your nervous system evolved with nature. Well-being begins with reconnection: breath, rest, movement, rhythm, food that remembers the soil, and water that remembers the sky.
6. Resist the Economics of Your Pain
Healing is not a product. Your humanity is not for sale. Build communities and practices that don’t require algorithms or dollar signs to feel real.
Change the Paradox. Change the Paradigm.
We’ve been told the lie that we’re either sick or healed, broken or whole, lost or found.
The truth is: we are constantly becoming. We are in motion, in rhythm, in cycles.
It’s not a healing journey. It’s a humaning one.
