Private Yoga Therapy

Personalized one-on-one yoga therapy for chronic physical and mental health conditions.

When you’ve tried everything and still don’t feel okay, yoga therapy can offer a path toward relief and healing. These sessions help reduce symptoms, support disease management, and promote well-being, even for conditions that may not fully respond to Western interventions.

Every session is tailored to your unique needs, abilities, and goals. Privacy, safety, and accessibility are at the heart of this work, ensuring that yoga therapy is available to all ages and backgrounds.

What You’ll Receive

  • One-on-One Support: Dedicated attention from your yoga therapist with practices designed specifically for you
  • Investment in Health: Most clients notice results within 6–12 sessions
  • Flexible Access: In-person sessions at locations across Connecticut or telehealth options available

The Yoga Therapy Process

  • Intake (60–90 minutes): Review health history, lifestyle, and create a treatment plan
  • Sessions (45–60 minutes): Learn and practice individualized techniques, with time to track progress and adjust
  • Home Practice: Short, customized practices supported by visual, audio, or video resources to help you integrate yoga therapy into daily life

For Clinicians

Expand your private practice and enhance client care with yoga therapy.

Yoga therapy complements the work of talk therapy by offering somatic and breathwork practices that support nervous system regulation, resilience, and present-centered awareness. This integrative approach empowers clients to heal more deeply and sustainably.

Opportunities for Clinicians

  • Referrals: We are currently accepting new telehealth clients and welcome referrals from trusted clinical partners. Email: referrals@yogatherapyassociates.com
  • Partnerships: Hire a yoga therapist to grow your practice. Our therapists are trained in integrative healthcare and available for both telehealth and in-person care. They accept HSA funds, OVS reimbursement, private pay, and work across state lines.
  • Education & Consulting: Access continuing education courses, integrative health trainings, and staff wellness retreats to bring yoga therapy into your practice.

How Yoga Therapy Supports Clients

  • Nervous System Regulation: Breathwork practices activate the body’s relaxation response, helping clients manage panic attacks, anxiety, and psychosomatic pain.
  • Somatic Work for Trauma: Trauma-informed approaches facilitate healing without the need to recount stories, focusing instead on safety, grounding, and new interoceptive experiences.
  • Meditation for Brain Change: Accessible meditation practices support brain rewiring, expanded awareness, and healing for addiction, OCD, depression, grief, and life transitions.
